Haunting Evidence  premiered on CRT on December 21, 2005. This new series took the paranormal/crime-solving phenomenon one step further by following psychic profiler Carla Baron, medium John J. Oliver, and paranormal investigator Patrick Burns as they visited "haunted" crime scenes.

In the second season of Haunting Evidence, Carla, Patrick and John ended up in Villisca at the former home of J.B. Moore. Below is the plot outline that was posted on the Court TV website.

" On the night of June 10th, 1912, with the Titanic disaster still fresh in America’s mind, one of the grizzliest crimes in mid-western history was unfolding in quiet Villisca, Iowa. Eight people – two adults and six children - in one household were systematically axed to death while they slept. Perhaps using the booming noise of a regularly scheduled passing night freight train as cover both inside and outside the house, the killer moved quickly, efficiently, and ruthlessly. Victims were killed in their beds, sheets draped over their faces and torsos, windows were tightly curtained closed, and mirrors were oddly covered. To this day, the Villisca massacre remains one of the most famous unsolved crimes on the books. Watch as our team goes to Iowa to spend time in the farmhouse, often considered the holy grail of ghost hunting. Can they uncover new answers in this nearly century-old mystery?"

In January of 2008, Court TV made the transition to True TV and the episode information on the Villisca visit has been removed. According to an email we received from Patrick Burns, the Villisca episode is scheduled to return. To check the schedule, click here.

Carla Baron

Patrick Burns

Patrick Burns is a paranormal investigator. He is the founder of the popular website Ghost Hounds, which in 2001 was featured in an Emmy award -winning Turner documentary "Interact Atlanta - 'Ghost Hounds'". Burns is also the organizer and director of Ghostock, a paranormal investigators convention held twice annually in Savannah, Georgia and is a professional photographer.
